Sweepstakes Terms

§1 Organizer

The sweepstakes within the WakeWin app are organized by Tim Leonsteyn, Schedelstr. 2, 80687 Munich, Germany, support@wakewin.app (hereinafter referred to as “Organizer”).

§2 Eligibility

Participation is open to natural persons who are at least 18 years of age. Void where prohibited by law. Employees of the Organizer and their relatives are excluded from participation. Accounts used by the Organizer, its staff or for testing are excluded from the prize drawing.

§3 Participation in the Sweepstakes

Participation occurs by successfully deactivating the alarm within the App. If Photo Verify is active for the alarm (via the per-alarm setting, which is switched on for every alarm unless a Premium user has switched it off, or because Hard Mode is enabled globally), the user first photographs the household object that the App shows (AI-verified). The user must then solve the required number of cognitive tasks, subject to a minimum puzzle duration: at least 5 tasks and a minimum of 30 seconds in standard mode (8 tasks after using the snooze function, with app version 1.2 or later), or at least 8 tasks and a minimum of 45 seconds in Hard Mode (13 tasks after using the snooze function). Each wrong answer extends the time before the alarm can be dismissed by 5 seconds; it does not extend the minimum puzzle duration that applies to bonus tickets.

For each successfully completed challenge, the participant receives prize-tickets, which are the entries in the prize drawing, and the same number of sun-tickets, which can only be used in the App's Shop (Terms §6) and are not entries in the prize drawing (together “tickets”). The number of base tickets equals the number of solved puzzles (up to the required minimum) multiplied by the alarm's difficulty rate (Easy = 2 tickets per puzzle, Medium = 4, Hard = 6) and then by the participant's current streak multiplier (1× under 7 consecutive days, 1.25× from day 7, 1.5× from day 14, 1.75× from day 30, 2× from day 60 onward; for streak freezes and the mornings at 1× after them, see below). Premium subscribers additionally receive bonus tickets for any puzzles solved beyond the required minimum that are completed within the minimum puzzle duration, calculated at the same difficulty rate and streak multiplier. The resulting number of base and bonus tickets is rounded down to a whole number. If the photo step of a challenge is verified (the AI check confirms the requested object), the participant additionally receives a flat photo bonus of 15 tickets for that challenge; the photo bonus is the same for every difficulty and is not multiplied by the streak multiplier. The photo bonus applies only to a photo of an object that the Organizer's server assigned for that challenge; if the App selects the object itself, for example because it cannot reach the server, no photo bonus is awarded. No photo bonus is awarded if the photo could not be verified, for example after three failed checks or because of a technical error. If the participant skips the photo step of a challenge without a technical error, no tickets are awarded for that challenge.

Tickets are awarded once per calendar day, for the first alarm successfully deactivated within the allotted grace period (with app version 1.2 or later: 3 minutes from alarm trigger, or 2 minutes after using the snooze function; with earlier app versions: 5 minutes from alarm trigger, or 3 minutes after using the snooze function). Additional alarms completed on the same day do not earn extra tickets. There is no time-of-day cutoff.

Streak freezes (Terms §6): A missed alarm day is a day with an enabled alarm on which the participant completed no challenge that counts for the streak; a challenge whose photo step was skipped without a technical error does not count, and, for challenges completed with app version 1.2 or later, neither does a challenge that was not finished within the grace period stated above. A streak freeze covers one missed alarm day: the streak and its multiplier tier continue, but the covered day is not counted as a day of the streak. Freezes are used automatically with the participant's next challenge that counts for the streak, one per missed alarm day, and only if the available freezes cover every missed alarm day since the last such challenge; otherwise no freeze is used and the streak starts again at day 1. Because a participant never has more than 2 streak freezes available at a time (Terms §6), at most 2 freezes are used with one challenge, so more than 2 missed alarm days since the last such challenge cannot be covered. For each missed day, an included Premium freeze of that day's calendar month is used first (if the participant is a Premium subscriber at the time of that challenge), then one of the participant's 2 starter freezes (which every participant has once and which do not expire), then the oldest bought freeze. For each freeze used, the tickets of one completed morning are calculated without the streak multiplier (1×), starting with the challenge that uses the freezes; only mornings for which tickets are awarded count, at most one per calendar day. After that, the multiplier of the streak's tier applies again; if the streak breaks before then, the remaining mornings at 1× lapse. A day covered by a streak freeze still counts as missed for the Perfect Month reward (Terms §4) and for the Perfect Month and Perfect Quarter badges. Streak freezes are only used for challenges completed with app version 1.2 or later.

Further tickets: When a friend who registered with the participant's referral code completes their first challenge, the participant receives 100 prize-tickets and 100 sun-tickets; when that friend becomes a Premium user for the first time, the participant receives a further 100 prize-tickets and 100 sun-tickets. Badges (achievements) award sun-tickets only and no prize-tickets (Terms §6). Postcard entries under §10 award prize-tickets only. The Organizer may also credit prize-tickets, sun-tickets or both manually, for example to correct errors or as a goodwill gesture; such credits are at the Organizer's discretion. Sun-tickets are never entries in the prize drawing, and spending them never adds, removes or changes prize-tickets.

Without prejudice to the free participation method under §10, a prize-ticket takes part in the prize drawing of its month only if (a) the user had an active paid premium subscription at the time the prize-ticket was earned, and (b) the user has enabled sweepstakes participation in the profile settings (“Sweepstakes Entry” toggle) at the time of the drawing. If the toggle is on at the time of the drawing, all of the user's prize-tickets of that month that meet (a) take part; if it is off, none do. A subscription is paid if the user pays for it through the App Store. Premium access granted free of charge by the Organizer (for example as a promotion, through a creator program or as test access), a subscription shared through Family Sharing, a free trial or other free offer (except the free months of the Perfect Month reward, which count as paid) and a subscription period whose payment was refunded do not count as paid. The subscription fee is charged for the use of app features (smart alarm, cognitive tasks, bonus tickets, 2 streak freezes included per month, the Perfect Month reward); participation in the prize drawing is a complimentary bonus for paying subscribers. Free users continue to earn base tickets for personal statistics, streak progression and the Shop, but their prize-tickets are not entered into the prize drawing.

§4 Prize Determination and Prizes

Prize drawings take place once per month. Winners are determined randomly from all valid prize-tickets of the respective month (§3 and §10); replacement drawings under §5 follow the same rules. Each participant can win at most one prize per monthly drawing. The prizes are drawn from the highest to the lowest value. If there are fewer eligible participants than prizes, only that many prizes are awarded, namely those with the lowest value. Prizes not awarded in the drawing on the 1st of the month are drawn again on the 3rd of the month among the participants eligible at that time, including those who became eligible in the meantime (for example through a postcard entry credited after the 1st); prizes still not awarded then lapse. If no valid prize-ticket is available for a drawing, no winner is drawn and the prize lapses. Prizes (e.g. vouchers, physical prizes) are specified in the app under “Prizes.” Cash payouts are excluded. Prize claims are non-transferable.

§5 Winner Notification

Winners will be notified within 7 days of the drawing via email or in-app notification. If a winner does not respond within 14 days of notification, the prize claim expires and an alternate winner will be drawn from the participants who have not won a prize in that month's drawing. The first name of each winner (or, if none is stored, a neutral designation) and the country stored in their profile are shown to all users of the App in the list of past draws.

§6 Exclusion from Participation

The Organizer reserves the right to exclude participants from the sweepstakes and void tickets in cases of manipulation. Manipulation includes, but is not limited to: the use of scripts or automated tools to solve tasks, manipulation of the system clock, and intentionally muting or lowering the volume during the challenge.

§7 Early Termination

The Organizer reserves the right to terminate or modify the sweepstakes at any time without prior notice if proper execution can no longer be guaranteed for technical or legal reasons.

§8 Apple & Google Disclaimer

This sweepstakes is in no way connected to Apple Inc. or Google LLC. Neither Apple nor Google is a sponsor or involved in any way in this sweepstakes. Prizes are provided exclusively by the Organizer or its partners.

§9 Legal Recourse

Legal recourse is excluded. The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply. If the language versions of these terms differ, the English version prevails.

§10 Alternative Participation Method (Free)

Participation in the sweepstakes is also possible without a paid subscription. Send a stamped postcard with your full name, address, and the email address registered in the app to: Tim Leonsteyn, Schedelstr. 2, 80687 Munich, Germany. Each valid postcard received will credit the participant with 50 prize-tickets; postcards earn no sun-tickets. A maximum of 5 postcards per person per calendar month may be submitted. The postcard must be received by the Organizer by the last business day of the respective month.
